Did i tell you? Ribbons tied up tight like a present. Dead ends finished. In some cases, at least. Some things are forever unresolved.

1992 ON THE MOON
In all honesty, I really should be sleeping right now. I have been getting 3-5 hours (max) of sleep a night this past week. I have been epically busy, in the best way possible. What with photographing and editing photos for Civic Theatre of Allentown 's upcoming production of "Rent," to assisting a fellow photographer (George ) with a shoot today (I was reflector holder AND water splasher. Highly challenging, actually), to shooting and editing a photo jam sesh I had with Amber today, I have been all over the place and back. So much fun. Tomorrow I am going hiking at Glen Onoko Falls with a few friends, and Friday I am going on a junk search so that I can begin helping Will build the junk sculpture for the set of "Rent." I'm also gonna tweak and mail out some resumes/cover letters within the next two days. This has been the most productive week I've had in a long time, I'd say!
Here is the result of the "Photo Jam Sesh" today. The aim was for Amber and me to exercise our styling skills, and have some ridiculous fun simultaneously. The clothes are from my closet, the styling was done by Amber and me, the theme was (loosely) grunge/the 90s. The photos of me were taken by Amber, the photos of Amber were taken by me, and they were all edited in Photoshop by me.

When my Mother got home, she was really confused as to why the "DETOUR" sign was in our tree...
So, this one time, Courtney Love was birthed from my evergreen tree, and she came to hang out with me!
So, this is what it looks like when you mix together the Log Lady from "Twin Peaks" with Peg Bundy from "Married with Children," and you add a dash of Courtney Love from her kinderwhore phase.
And then the unthinkable happened...I grew a plastic doll head on my left arm, and Amber grew fake, paper eyes over her real eyes. And, to think, it all happened by the very same tree that birthed Courtney Love.
hahahaha I am a wonderfully awkward head at the bottom of this picture (accompanied by the doll head, of course).

being a dilettante is FUN
So, last week my dad was asking me to fill out my tax papers. I asked him if I could write "Dilettante" under occupation. He was not so amused by that suggestion. Seriously, I think it would have been funny. And witty. and.....kind of true.
I've actually been really busy lately...hence the lack of updates. I got to photograph a "Rent" rehearsal at Civic Theatre, I am helping out with a junk sculpture for the set of the aforementioned show, I've been having photo jam sessions with Amber and Alex....all wonderful endeavors. I feel like I may be in the the golden age of discovery in my life. I'm kind of crash-coursing it through life, in a really great way. I have a lot more time to grow up -- as long as I'm constantly feeding my mind and facilitating the growth of my own creativity, I really can't complain (even though I still will).
I had a photoshoot in an abandoned train car with Amber, Lisa-Noel and John the other day (for their pretend prairie-themed folk/bluegrass band). Here are the pictures:

BEAR IN HEAVEN
Bear In Heaven - Werewolf from Hometapes on Vimeo.
I am in love with this video. It has a werewolf, random animation, a bearded man and witchy things. Everything a music video should have.

vixen jawbone
Prioritizing has never been my strong suit. For example:
Of all the many things I was supposed to accomplish today, I accomplished none. However, I did make a really awesome necklace out of a fox jawbone and horn/talon charm. Found the jawbone in the woods, did a little jewelry surgery to use the charm (it came from a charm necklace). Now my fingers are coated with a thin layer of dried epoxy resin.
